Delighted Residents Approve New LED Street Light

Residents in the town of Solihull in the West Midlands are delighted with the introduction of Candela's new LED Lina street light. The Lina LED has replaced standard high pressure sodium fittings in a relatively new housing development in the area

 

The comparison in the picture shows excellent lighting levels of the new LED technology in contrast to the sodium lights in the background. As you can see the LED's illuminate the green of the trees, bushes and the grass giving a far brighter appearance. 

The 48 LED array will provide a saving in energy however, further saving on the local authorities budget can be made if Candela's Intelegent Module is fitted to allow dimming. Other significant savings will be in the reduced maintenance as the LED fittings, unlike conventional lamps can have an expected service life of up to 100,000 hours.

 

 

When asked several of the local residents commented on how much brighter the Lina LED fittings are compared to the sodium fittings they replaced. They went on to say that they felt much safer now in this well lit area and they believed that other areas would benefit from this technology, especially areas of high crime rates.

 Candela have now developed a range of LED modules that can be fitted into 90% of its range of lights and can also be fitted into existing luminaires. This means that if clients want the new LED technology but have not got the budget or if they have recently purchased fittings, they can have the new LED technology fitted.

All our photometric data for these fitting are prepared by an independent test house so we can all be safe in the knowledge that they offer excellent performance and up to 100,000 hours serviceable life.

So don't be forced into compromising your ideas and designs due to the lack of options. Candela offer a comprehensive range of Traditional Heritage, Contemporary and Bespoke fittings with modular options of  24 - 72 LED's
